Bha, grey, wet and not cold. You can't call this winter.
Current temp is 13.1°C in and 4.9°C out .

Hehe, just a little bit of support and a lot of fiddling about. Like finding out I ended all my lines with a colon in stead of a semi colon. Well, almost all the lines. So I do a global scan replace. But of course in some places (parameter-passing) a colon is needed so the global replace did just redistribute the errors.

Dinner is rice with sweet-sour sauce. No meat no extra vegetables, just rice and a bit of sauce. I have been sleeping badly a couple of night lately because of eating to much and to late. Well I haven't eaten to much really but mostly to late for a full meal.

Is it actually 20 years old? oh my! ( http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=28164 ) And the Tetris blocks are still falling.

Bha, grey, wet and not cold. Again. When it's clear and sunny I like to be bored by the weather, when it's drab and wet I don't. At least it's cooling down a bit.
Current temp is 12.4°C in and 2.6°C out .

Hmm, got someone at the door at half past six (morning) asking for one of the neighbours. But not by a name I know (not that I know them by name anyway) and by a description (short, with a beard and a scuffy looking) that doesn't fit any of the neighbours I know. So I say so.
And five minutes later he tries to go round the back of the house. So I tell him, a bit firmer, to get off.
Hmm, he looked more homeless/drunk than criminal so I am not overly worried.

Work is going well. I got a couple of programs adapted and tested and now I start applying the same adaptation to a whole bunch of other programs. I am aiming to clear this step before the end of the year. That should be easy but with people going on holidays the amount of support is gone rise (users doing jobs they are not used to) and there will be less people to provide that support (OK never more than one person missing but that is still 20% down). So it's going to be a busy time.

Dinner is mushroom pizza. Just a perfect bottom, covered with some spaghetti sauce and a heap of chopped mushrooms. Toped off with cheese and herbs (a bit too spicy). GRRrrrreeat !

Why does this remind me of a peacock posturing, stamping its feet and calling out? ( http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=28194 ) Just before groveling to the peahens (or ending up stuffed in an oven :) )

Launched too close to the shopping season's peak and suffering shortages. ( http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=28198 ) Some Microsoft bod made a small planning mistake. A small mistake but not a cheap one.

Still grey, wet and not cold. But it's a lighter shade of grey. And only minimal wetness very early on, dry later. And less 'not cold' as well though not yet winterly frost.
Ok, Murphy was listening in. when I move out of the office my car is frosted over.
Current temp is 11.8°C in and -1.5°C out .

Bha. I didn't sleep well tonight. As mentioned I made pizza yesterday. with a very tasty bottom. But I think I didn't use enough water in the dough. It didn't rise much but for pizza bottoms that's not required. It did however start to rise after eating. So all night my belly was moving and bubbling.

Work is becoming 'interesting'. What with several -new- projects that need to be finished in early January, deadlines moving forward. And we still haven't got specifications of what is needed. Still a month to go at first sight. But that does not take into account that the person who has to do it has two weeks off. So you get two projects each expected to take a month's work and they get both assigned to a single person who has just 9 work days left to do it all. And she can't really begin yet because there are no requirements set up.

Dinner is chicken and rice. Very good. But also way too much. I ran out of rice so I opened an emergency box. But that has got rice in 'small' bags that you drop in cooking water, which makes cooking easy cause, when ready you just pick out the bag, let it drip out and cut it open in a bowl -yay, no more spilled rice sticking to the sieve and sink. But the 'small' bags hold way too much rice, I didn't look and just cooked a bag so now I have a huge pile of rice left. Maybe it's still edible tomorrow.

It's a bit hazy early on but once the sun is up the sky turns blue. With just a very thin veil high up.
Current temp is 12.1°C in and 0.2°C out .

Work is getting hectic. Maybe chaotic is a better description. The problem is that we have projects coming down with incredible -unreachable- deadlines but we are not receiving specifications.

Dinner is swordfish steak with rice and chili sauce. Hot 'n Spicy.

Probably not the last casualty from the take-over by Intel. ( http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/12/09/apple_firewire_plan/ ) What's next? The logo?

Always read the whole description. ( http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/12/08/xbox_photo_auction/ ) Unless you really really like to buy pictures.

It's hazy again with a little colouring on the horizon as the sun rises. Shortly after sunrise the haze compacts into a grey cover. It doesn't get warm and it doesn't cool down. Bha no real difference between day and night.
Current temp is 11.7°C in and 3.2°C out .

Shopping. Same as usual, wine, fruit, groceries etc. .

I got the kitchen tamed. Everything is where it should be. While this sounds rather non-exciting it actually is an extremely rare occasion. My kitchen usually is an example of chaos theory.

Tagliatelli with salmon makes a nice dinner. And for once I picked a small piece of salmon so I am not going to bed bloated.

Grey and wet. It isn't raining, not even drizzling but everything is wet and water just drips off the trees. In the afternoon it gets less wet.
Current temp is 11.5°C in and 2.6°C out .

Lazy cleaning. Well after Herculean effort cleaning the kitchen yesterday, I take on the rest of the house in lazy fashion (he calls staring at the dust cleaning     ed.)

Dinner is a pork-roast that has been swimming in wine since yesterday morning. I cook the marinade down and add cream to make a good sauce. All served with fried potatoes and steamed chicory. Yumm

Grey and wet. Nothing more to say.
Current temp is 11.6°C in and 2.6°C out .

I got a day off for a trip to and trough the Ardennes.

But much fun though as we are almost constantly driving trough clouds. The predicted weather was 'low clouds' which usually means good visibility and photographic weather, sounds good for a trip out to the Ardennes. They were right about those low clouds but forgot to mention that "low" was ground-level so we get stuck in Mist all day. And we get back early. It's good to be away from the office though.

After unpacking I go to Genk for running, it's on the way home from work but not working means it's rather out of the way. No matter, I run and run well. I am early so I start out with some warming-up (half a round) and then almost kill W by running too easy and fast :)

Dinner is soup. Fish soup but made the quick way. That is I start out with a packet of instant fish soup and add a fist full of prawns and some tuna ~left-over from making tuna salad in the morning~ with a slice of lemon floating in. Not super but still better than what is usually served in non-specialised restaurants.

The same grey and wet weather. But low-clouds is not ground-level today.
Current temp is 12.1°C in and 2.1°C out .

We are drowning in work without specifications. And we have a big meeting. After which we end up with more work and no more specifications.

Business as usual.

Dinner is rice with marinade and stir-fried pork. Yep, marinade in some light soy

Getting better all the time. ( http://mdn.mainichi-msn.co.jp/national/news/20051213p2a00m0na017000c.html ) But it is slow progress.

Some day the weather will change. Looking out I notice that today is not some day.
Current temp is 12.7°C in and 2.3°C out .

I have to drop the SAPification and start on some translations. And on a second, different sapification process. But I can't start cause I don't know what to translate (everything of course, but what first?) and the second sapification is maybe not necessary. But maybe it is. And maybe it's the same as the previous one. But maybe it isn't.

Dinner is leeks-soup with extra meat and garlic floating in it. And cream. Nice and filling.
