GUI was not finished on Friday, there were still about 25 panels to be made. Dimitri is a bit slower than Koen. And Koen had a breakdown of his car Friday so he arived 3hours late.
All screens finished and compiled before 12 a clock. I prepared and sent a message to the architects to let them start testing. If testing proceeds normaly, whithout general problems, everything should be ready for burning the CD by thursday or friday. I start on the documentation now so that should be ready as well.

The whole morning taken by a so called "brainstorming" session. There was not much wind in my opinion. And not much achieved either. Not totally useless but not really conclusive but maybe I am missing the point. I am not good at brainstorming in situations like this.

Kristel and Danny do the testing for OSI because Sandri is of skiing the whole week. Jan Trienekes does some testing on OMSI-1/2 but not much has changed there. OLI is not being tested. Again. OMSI 3 is not tested either but nothing actualy changed so that will not be a problem.
Problems are passed on to Dimitri, he will handle them.

No comment from home. I am slowly clearing the newspaper backlog.

I got a call from Danielle Wetzels (Norway). This thime they don't have a problem. She asked if they could use some extra positions in the QO@IMP field for their local adapt. I said they could, as long as they stay in the currently empty to area and that they should keep an eye on it when en new release/version from Venlo arrives. What I didn't say is that, because the 7.08.x release handles the F58010 totally different they will have to rethink their adaptations then.

Dimitri and Koen are correcting problems with GUI panels. There don't seem to be big problems. A few norec's that are incorrectly displayed, a handfull of propmpt marks thet don't show up. Things like that.
I am getting behind with the documentation.

Plodding trough the training sessions and the manual for BlueCad I notice that there are quite some errors in the manual. If you follow the lessons literaly you don't get the predicted/expected result. The user interface is not standard. Although this is often the case with specialist applications like CAD, things aren't easier.

Danielle Wetzels from Norway came to Venlo for a visit. Nothing personal. She is now getting instruction about the OFI interface by Danielle (the other one). And propably she will get instruction on the other modules as well.

The batle with the GUI documentation got stuck in details. I'll restart tomorrow, with updating the existing documents. Quick and dirty will have to do for now. Tom requested a list of objects and folders to be included in the CD.

An order, created from TS2000 got blocked on the AS/400. The Progress user doesn't have authority to CS. Normaly that would not be needed but, when the OLI background job is not running the first job that needs it will start it. With its own user and settings. TS2000 was first today. The authority lists have been adapted and everything should be OK now.

I just reached the text handling section of BlueCad. This is a rather primitive afair to say the least. the further I reach in the use of the program the less I like it. Maybe I should switch to something else.

Peter came in. there is a problem with the drawers he is designing for the attic. The steel supports sag in the middle. So much so that they touch the floor. We wanted to use the supports just to keep the weight off the floor. He tried various patch solutions but none of them work. Resting the inetrsections on the floor is not a good idea because the floor is not smooth, the boards are not all perfectly horizontal, and the floor supporting material is sleightly compressable, which will cause the darwers to sag with time. The solution I propose is to drill trough the floor and put small wood/concrete/... supports in. This will work nicely.

While running today I got cramps again. I took the short course, sleightly under a kilometer. About halfway I got a cramp in my right calve. Since that tear in the left calve in October I am having problems. Earlier in October my father went on kidney dialysis (..) and since then we have changed our diet at home. Maybe that is contributing to some problem. Other posibilities are lack of sleep and age. Old age that is. (ps I am 37 after all, ahum.)

Digging up old roots and boll in the garden and relocating some smaller plants. Due to the exceptional amounts of rain we have endured the last months the soil is verry heavy and soggy making digging hard work. Even though it are only a few small patches that had to be done I ended up with some blisters on my hand palms.
